its amazing when you blog saying you are going to ny then hours later you receive emails inviting you to paint walls across town. if only that can happen in my home town.

san diego and new york.

so a couple of months ago osgemeos sent me an email giving me props. I cant tell you how happy i was to see someone you looked up since day one dropping an email. even tho i was on cloud 9 there was something in the back of my mind telling me that this could be someone's idea of a joke. his email is not on web so it's impossible to find out if its really them. i remember when ashley wood emailed me and i didn't respond the first time around because i didn't believe it was him. I went to san diego for the Viva la Revolución show and was eager solve this email mystery. i am back on cloud 9!!!

one of the brother drew a character for me, while the other wrote "parabens pelo trabalho" they told me it meant "congratulation on your work"

here's there piece in front of the museum. sucks that you couldn't take pics inside.

amanda and a josh piece
drawing of marisol with red ballpoint pen and white chalk.

I will be having a show at jonathan levine gallery in NY on august 4th. here are 2 of the close ups. if you are around the area swing by.

laguna

my sketchbooks along with a few drawings will be displayed at laguna this thursday, july 1st.

i will be showing with the very talented ken garduno and haubs and suzanne walsh.

notion fine art. 1590 south coast hwy. suite #1, laguna beach, ca, 92651

if you live close to laguna swing by.

closeups

here are some close up for some paintings im working on. there's a high chance that i will paint over the robot. proportions seems a bit weird to me. pieces will be in ny soon.

sketches.

joao ruas did this cool drawing on my moleskin and i think it looks great next to my reinier gamboa drawing. both can draw like nobodies business.
some studies im working on. will show the new paintings soon.

also, i just got some prints done from a piece used in my last solo show. i've been getting tons of positive feedback about this piece, i decided to make a limited edition. check out my store if interested.
store

lastly, this video is insane!!!!!!!!!! bboy pocket is only 13 years old!!!!! it's settled then im moving to korea. its something in the air or kimchee over there.

opera

so i turn this drawing in and the a.d told me that it was too traditional and romantic. they wanted something more playful and exaggerated. i had to bring the gouache out to do this. i rarely use colors straight out of the tube, but i felt it was needed to achieve supreme saturation.

the story is based on two asian lovers. the a.d wanted me to change the hair to black because he looked too american. i like the blond better. she obviously doesn't watch dragon ball z. the right part of the clouds and the mountains are digital.
also got a copy of this months bang art. everything is in italian, so i am curious what those 3 pages are talking about.

thanks for reading.

this wall has been me and my friends wall for over 15 years. every time i was going threw dry spells it was always good for me to just go there and release my thoughts on the wall. i am sadden to tell you guys that i have a team robo of my own:(
you cannot avoid these kind of things if you are in the graffiti game.

on a more brighter note, i will be heading down to sf this weekend.
if you are sf based come check out this show thursday april 1st.
